👋 Welcome to The Resource Corner!

I’m Ashley, NAMI Spokane’s Outreach and Community Engagement Manager. One of my roles is resource navigation—helping individuals and families find the support they need in our community. Each edition of The Resource Corner highlights a local program or service that can make a difference for those impacted by mental health challenges.

This month, it is my honor to highlight The NATIVE Project!

I recently had the opportunity to meet with staff and tour The NATIVE Project’s facility. My experience was not only inspirational but truly deserving of a community spotlight!

What is The NATIVE Project?

The NATIVE Project is a community health center that provides comprehensive health and human services to all people while specializing in the care of Native people. They are a leader in promoting health improvement for urban American Indians and Alaska Natives locally and regionally.

Their philosophy is rooted in Sacred Hospitality for all, welcoming every person who walks through their doors.

“Our mission is to provide quality services that promote wellness and balance of mind, body, and spirit for individuals, staff, families, and communities.”

Who can receive services at The NATIVE Project?

The NATIVE Project serves the greater Spokane community—everyone is welcome!
They accept Medicaid, Medicare, a sliding scale fee, and most private insurances.
